Transporting a Harley-Davidson on a trailer or in a transporter can be a challenge, especially when it comes to the alarm system. Fortunately, Harley-Davidson has a solution for this problem: the so-called Transport Mode. Here's how you can activate this mode for different Harley models.
For Models Up to 2007 (Transponder with Button):
Deactivate the immobilizer: Ensure that the transponder is active on the motorcycle.
Turn on the ignition: Activate the ignition.
Press and hold the button: Keep the button pressed until the indicators blink 3 times in succession.
Turn off the ignition: Switch off the ignition.
Press and hold the button again: Keep the button pressed again until the indicators blink 3 times in succession.
Now, your Harley is in Transport Mode.
Activation via PIN Entry:
Turn on the ignition.
Press both indicators: Press both indicators until the red key symbol in the dashboard blinks. The dashboard should show 5 lines.
Enter PIN: Enter your PIN using the left indicator button and confirm with the right indicator button.
Wait for the confirmation signal: After a signal tone, the alarm system is deactivated, and the motorcycle is in Transport Mode.
For Models from 2007 up to 2014 (Hand-Free Transponder):
Have the Fob with the motorcycle: Ensure that the Fob is near the motorcycle.
Turn the key to ACC: Turn the key or the rotary switch to ACC.
Press both indicators: Press both indicators until they blink 3 times in succession.
Turn off the ignition.
The motorcycle is now in Transport Mode.
For Models from 2014:
Have the Fob with the motorcycle.
Turn on the ignition using the kill switch.
Turn off the ignition after 3-5 seconds.
Press both indicators: Keep both indicators pressed until they blink 3 times.
The Transport Mode is activated. To return to the normal mode, simply turn on the ignition.
Set the kill switch to ON.
Press both indicators: Wait until the red key symbol in the dashboard blinks.
Enter PIN: Use the left indicator button for entering and confirm with the right indicator button.Wait for the confirmation signal.
